     The County Planning Office is responsibile for reviewing all development/subdivision, lot split and other plans submitted to the County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners.

     All plans are reviewed for compliance with State Statutes and County Resolutions.  The County Planner and Assistant County Planner answers questions regarding lot splits and subdivisions and serve as advisors to the County Planning and Zoning Commission.

The department prepares, maintains, modifies and administers carious county regulations related to planning and zoning.  Staff also work on special projects assigned by the Board of County Commissioners.
