Free Larvacide
from the Johnson County Weed and Pest District
Johnson County Weed and Pest is providing
Vectobac larvacide to county residents free of charge during the 2007
mosquito season. Now is the time to begin dipping or sampling for larvae
in suspected mosquito breeding habitat. Apply Vectobac as soon as larvae
begin to emerge.
Vectobac should remain active in the water for two to three weeks, so for
best results, dip and reapply where larvae are present at two- to
three-week intervals through mid to late August.
Mosquito habitat generally includes any standing water less than two feet
deep.
For more information, contact the Johnson County Weed and Pest District at
684-5715, or visit them at 123 Flatiron Drive in Buffalo.
