Protecting our community from vaccine-preventable disease is a priority at Johnson County Public Health, where we offer a full spectrum of vaccines on a suggested-donation basis. For more information or to make an appointment, call our Buffalo office at 684-2564.

Childhood Immunizations
Johnson County Public Health offers a childhood immunization program for any qualifying child up to the 19th birthday.
To enroll your children in a Wyoming school, you are required to keep them up to date on their immunizations. Our office provides all the mandatory vaccinations, as well as the optional - but strongly recommended - immunizations against serious illnesses like chickenpox, pneumococcal infection, hepatitis A and rotavirus for small children; and bacterial meningitis for kids and young adults up to the 19th birthday.
We also supply the vaccine that protects against cervical cancer caused by certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV). Also known as Gardasil, the HPV vaccine is now available for girls 9 to 18 years of age.
If you are like many parents who have questions or concerns about childhood vaccines, visit www.vaccine.chop.edu for the answers you need to make informed and responsible decisions and help your child grow up healthy and strong.

Adult Vaccines
Vaccination isn't just for kids. Some illnesses pose a serious threat to the adults of Johnson County as well, such as influenza and pneumonia. Call our office at
684-2564 for information on the seasonal "flu shot," and, if you are 65 or older, the PPV vaccine.
